A Health Economic Model to Assess the Effects of Introducing Home Polysomnography for the Diagnosis of Sleep Apnea in Germany

The diagnostic pathway for patients with sleep  apnea, insured within the public insurance in Germany, does not yet include  home-PSG. Based on findings from this economic evaluation, introduction of  home-PSG would shorten waiting times by 87% while reducing healthcare costs  and the number of tests required to obtain a diagnosis.
